Your Postpartum Doula

Sally is a trained postpartum doula, CPR certified, professionally liability insured, and trained in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs). She brings hands-on experience in newborn and postpartum care, along with her background as a former teacher who supported children and families and her personal understanding as a mother navigating the postpartum transition herself.

Having supported more than 20 families with newborn care, overnight support, sleep foundations, and gentle encouragement, Sally understands that every family’s postpartum experience is different. Her approach is centered on bringing calm, and grace into your home, helping you rest, recover, care for your baby, and grow into parenthood with greater confidence and support.

The Story Behind Our Name

Neema Nurture was chosen with intention. Neema is a Swahili word meaning grace, blessing, or favor, reflecting the spirit we want every family to feel when they welcome us into their home.

Nurture represents the care, encouragement, and support that parents and babies need during the postpartum transition. We believe nurturing is not only about caring for a newborn—it is also about making sure parents feel seen, supported, rested, and confident as they adjust to this new chapter.

What Guides Our Care

Every visit is grounded in patience, respect, and listening first. Training in postpartum care and PMADs gives structure, while the meaning of Neema, grace, reminds us to move gently.

We support each family's rhythms and choices, offering practical help, sleep support, and emotional care so you feel less alone.
